Royal Art Academy movie School which has been in the fore-front of putting strategies in place to ensure consistent improvement in the Nigeria movie industries is at it again. This time, she has organized an award for inspiring students who have put their potentials to action having gone through the robust movie school.

Enough of all this grammar which could be discouraging and boring…young students of the Royal Art academy who believe are positioned to take over the next phase of Nollywood and entertainment industry in Africa have put forward their short films to give you a taste of what the future of nollywood movies will be. take advantage of this opportunity to be among the first to peep into the future of our glorious entertainment industry.

When news filtered in that the ever extrovert-Tonto Dike is getting married, many wondered if this is true. Like her or hate her, it is obvious she is full of love though my friend once told me she can be very haughty when not in a good mood.

From the pictures below you can see how full of life, love-able, and homely but there was a discovery of a lady who claimed Tonto’s hubby is her man whom Tonto took from her. True or False we are yet to get the side of Tonto Dike.

As we celebrate with Poko we wish her every good things that comes our way and advice her to please not turn our gentle man into another Toke Makinwa’s hubby who was starved and went out to get it. (lol).

SUEREZ USED AS A VAMPIRE IN CHILDREN CARTOON BOOK

During the last summer’s world Cup Suarez bites Giorgio Chiellini and for doing this he has been immortalized on the pages of children’s book titled Daydreaming Daisy McCloud but the Barcelona FC striker might not like the way he is being remembered.

He is reportedly going to be featured as a vampire with fangs in the children book.

The author, Peter Barron, said he was looking for inspiration for the latest in his Monstrous Morals series when the Uruguayan got embroiled in yet another biting storm.

“When I was writing the book Luis Suarez had been in trouble again for biting another opponent,” Barron said.

“So when I needed a striker to complete my monstrous line-up, he seemed to fit the bill.”

But the author have his fears concerning his featuring Suarez as a vampire, he let out his fear when he said:

“I just hope he sees the funny side of it and the idea doesn’t come back to bite me,” he added.

Suarez bit Giorgio Chiellini  during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Though Suarez has tried to clear himself of the biting saga, the footballer will be remembered for long for his teeth contribution to football rather than his feet contribution.

This is one of the SADDEST stories ever told in Hollywood. His name is Sylvester Stallone. One of the BIGGEST and Most famous American Movie superstars. Back in the day, Stallone was a
struggling actor in every definition. At some point, he got so broke that he stole his wife’s jewelry and sold it. Things got so bad that he even ended up homeless. Yes, he slept at the New York bus station for 3 days. Unable to pay rent or afford food. His lowest point came when he tried to sell his dog at the liquor store to any
stranger. He didn’t have money to feed the dog anymore. He sold it at $25 only. He says he walked away crying.

Two weeks later,he saw a boxing match between Mohammed Ali and Chuck Wepner and that match gave him the inspiration to write the script for the famous movie,ROCKY. He wrote the script for 20 hours! He tried to sell it and got an offer for $125,000 for the script. But he had just ONE REQUEST. He wanted to STAR in
the movie. He wanted to be the MAIN ACTOR. Rocky himself. But the studio said NO. They wanted a REAL STAR.

They said he “Looked funny and talked funny”. He left with his script. A few weeks later,the studio offered him $250,000 for the script. He refused. They even offered $350,000. He still refused. They wanted his movie. But NOT him. He said NO. He had to be
IN THAT MOVIE.

After a while,the studio agreed,gave him $35,000 for the script and let him star in it! The rest is history! The movie won Best Picture, Best Directing and Best Film Editing at the prestigious
Oscar Awards. He was even nominated for BEST ACTOR! The Movie ROCKY was even inducted into the American National Film Registry as one of the greatest movies ever!

And do You know the first thing he bought with the $35,000? THE DOG HE SOLD. Yes,Stallone LOVED HIS DOG SO MUCH that he stood at the liquor store for 3 days waiting for the man he sold
his dog to. And on the 3rd day,he saw the man coming with the dog. Stallone explained why he sold the dog and begged for the dog back. The man refused. Stallone offered him $100. The
man refused. He offered him $500. And the guy refused. Yes,he refused even $1000. And,Believe it or Not,Stallone had to pay $15,000 for the same,same dog he sold at $25 only! And he
finally got his dog back!

And today,the same Stallone who slept in the streets and sold his dog JUST BECAUSE he couldn’t even feed it anymore,is one of the GREATEST Movie Stars who ever walked the Earth!

Being broke is BAD. Really BAD. Have You ever had a dream? A wonderful dream? But You are too broke to implement it? Too tiny to do it? Too small to accomplish it? Damn! I’ve been there too many times!

Life is tough. Opportunities will pass you by,just because you are a
NOBODY. People will want your products but NOT YOU. Its a tough
world. If you ain’t already famous, or rich or “connected”, You will find it rough.

Doors will be shut on You. People will steal your glory and crash your hopes. You will push and push. And yet NOTHING WILL HAPPEN.

And then your hopes will be crashed. You will be broke. Damn broke. You will do odd jobs for survival. You will be unable to feed yourself. And Yes, you may end up sleeping in the streets.

ACTOR EMEKA IKE BEATS WIFE TO STUPOR

I wonder why education, exposure and social status does not affect a wife or girl friend beater.

According to very reliable reports, Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike’s wife, Emma has just filed for divorce from her husband of 12 years.

Reports say she claims Emeka Ike is constantly battering her.

She narrated how the couple lost their school when her husband stopped her from managing it.

Hear what Emma told the customary court yesterday:

It was when my husband beat me mercilessly I believed that people truly saw stars whenever they were unconscious. It was my brother who took me to the hospital where I spent two months. There was also a day I was feeding our last child with tea, my husband, out of anger took the tea and poured it on my head.

I even persuaded his sister to bring four of her children to our school without paying a dime but instead of showing appreciation, she said I was a lavish spender and that was how I stopped being in charge of his school.

Each time we fight, he calls me a witch saying whenever he intends to start a project and he informs me it eventually fails. He also said if he hadn’t married me, I would have become a prostitute, Mrs Ike said.

Since I left, he doesn’t allow me to speak with our first two children asking me to come home if I really want to see them. Even when I was in with him, he leaves home for months on the pretext of different appointments. I can’t face all this anymore. I need help.

Chief Emeka Ike and his now ex-wife are blessed with 4 adorable kids.

The divorce case has been adjourned till the 22nd of July, 2015.

Before now, it was rumored that Emeka Ike has left his wife for an Abuja-based sugar mummy.

The actor is currently based in Abuja.

I wonder why a man is considered weak by some ladies if they are quiet and refuse to respond to their excesses wit the fist
I wonder why some ladies over look the obvious signs of a man that has tendencies to be a wife/girlfriend beater
I wonder why wife beaters would never own up and seek for help from specialist to their issues
I wonder why psychology has it that some ladies are attracted to wife beaters and consider themselves blessed to have a man that love them to the point of beating them and still come crying for forgiveness.
I wonder why some ladies in such relationship find it more difficult to leave the relationship than the ladies with quiet guys could easily walk away
I wonder why a wife beater or girlfriend beater always attract ladies with soft hearts
I wonder why ladies do not consider leaving such relationships until they have children and have to put the kids through psychological trauma of of pain and separation.
I wonder why wife and the wife beaters would only make separation when it is too late.
I wonder why both parties only regret taking actions when it is too late and leave the rest of their lives in regret of things they took for granted.

1. Ahmet Ali Çelikten

He was the first black pilot in the aviation history. He was one of only two black pilots in the World War I. His grandmother came from Bornu (now Borno State in Nigeria) to the Ottoman Empire as a slave. Ahmet was born in 1883 in İzmir, in the Aidin Vilayet of the Ottoman Empire. He aimed to become a naval sailor and entered the Naval Technical School named Haddehâne Mektebi (literally “School of the Blooming Mill”) in 1904. In 1908, he graduated from the school as a First Lieutenant. Then he joined the aviation courses in the Naval Flight School (Deniz Tayyare Mektebi) that was formed at Yeşilköy on June 25, 1914.

2. Jonathan Adagogo Green

He was the first professional photographer of Nigerian origin. Green was the chief photographer for the British as they lay the groundwork for colonization of Nigeria. He also took pictures of his own Ijo peoples’ struggle to maintain control of their land and to preserve their cultural identity. While most of the British collections of his photographs are now in archives, Green’s photographs live on among the Ijo who continually reprint and reuse them to reconstruct and celebrate their cultural traditions.

3. Emmanuel Arinze Ifeajuna

He was a Nigerian army major and high jumper. He became the first person from Africa to win a gold medal at an international sports event. He won the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. His winning mark and personal best of 6 ft 8 inches (2.03 m) was a games record and a British Empire record at the time. Emmanuel was an Igbo from Onitsha. Apart from sport achievements, he was also was a science graduate University College of Ibadan and became involved in politics, later joining the military.

4. Tesilimi Olawale “Teslim” Balogun

Balogun was the first African to qualify as a professional coach. He was a coach for Nigeria at the 1968 Summer Olympics. He played at both professional and international levels as a striker. The Teslim Balogun Stadium in the Nigerian city of Lagos is named in his honour. The Teslim Balogun Foundation was founded after his death to assist the families of Nigerian ex-international footballers who may have fallen on hard times.

5. Rosalind Balogun

She was a first Miss Nigeria to participate in the Miss World contest in 1967. There were four contestants from Africa: Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania and Uganda.

6. Wole Soyinka


He is a Nigerian playwright and poet. He was awarded the 1986 Nobel Prize in Literature, the first African to be so honored. Soyinka has strongly criticised many Nigerian military dictators, especially late General Sanni Abacha, as well as other political tyrannies. Wole Soyinka is among contemporary Africa’s greatest writers. He is also one of the continent’s most imaginative advocates of native culture and of the humane social order it embodies.
